Market Town Noerten-Hardenberg
The market town Nörten-Hardenberg is situated in the south of the rural district Northeim between Northeim and Göttingen. In 1974 the Lower Saxony administration and area reform created the market town Nörten-Hardenberg with the villages Angerstein, Bishausen, Elvese, Lütgenrode, Suderhausen and Wolbrechtshausen. Nörten-Hardenberg is situated directly at the motorway A7 and has so very good traffic connections.
One can reach from here the rural district Göttingen in next to no time and the Harz is just stone's throw away. Nörten-Hardenberg is well known mostly for its schnapps distillery and equestrian sport. There are several landmarks in Nörten-Hardenberg like the castle ruin Hardenberg, the palace Hardenberg, the minster Marienstein, the distillery and much more.
