The idyllic and peaceful situated village Oldershausen with a population of 266 (status May 2007) is part of the community Kalefeld since the incorporation in the year 1974.
As a 700-year old document testifies the village name originated form the 'masters of Oldershausen'. The family 'Oldershausen' is one of the oldest noble dynasties in Lower Saxony.
And so the family emblem is still decisive for the village today.

In the 70ties the old school was converted into a community centre where Oldenhausen's club life takes place still today.
For the youth of Oldershausen there is a youth room available, which was converted from the former fire brigade house.
