The Theatre of the Night was founded by the puppeteers Heiko Brockhaus and Ruth Schmitz.

The Theatre of the Night was created by redeveloping the old fire station in the year 2001. Two years were needed to create an enchanted house for the figure theatre.

The theatre opened finally on the 11.8.2001 with great theatre performances, a market and the a mask parade.

The Theatre of the Night offers a very pretty and diverse programme.

Nearly 20.000 people visit the theatre annually. As the theatre receives no grants it is being supported by the friends' association and donations.

Apart from more or less daily performances the Theatre of the Night can be hired for birthdays, festive events, company celebrations etc. It offers space for up to 100 people.
